The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall appoint a new Equerry

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall have appointed Major Will Mackinlay as their Equerry with effect from July 2008.
Major Mackinlay joined the Army in 1991, completed a year’s training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was commissioned into The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Scots DG).
During his 17 years of Service he has been stationed in Germany, Warminster, and Catterick Garrison.
He attended the Joint Services Advanced Command and Staff College at Shrivenham, and worked for two years at the Ministry of Defence in London. Major Mackinlay has been deployed to Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Qatar and, most recently, to Afghanistan.
He joins Clarence House after commanding B Squadron, SCOTS DG, based in Germany. Major Mackinlay takes over from Wing Commander Jayne Casebury, who has been posted to the Advanced Command and Staff College, Shrivenham.
