Composting is an excellent way of recycling kitchen scraps and garden clippings.
At Highgrove in Gloucestershire, big compost heaps are turned by a small tractor once a week to allow air to speed up the rotting process.
The compost, which is full of minerals and nutrients that plants love, takes 12 weeks to make.
After 12 weeks it is spread all over the garden for the worms to integrate into the soil.
